When you have reached Canada and settled down, one of the foremost things that you need to do is networking. You might not find it very important and can even shrug off the idea but it is as important for finding a job in Canada as food is to our survival. Now, while we have already guided you on how to network in the North American country, you need to know how to network with the right groups.

Here are some tips that you need to follow for the aforementioned. Scroll down for the details.

    1. Figure out who matters the most. Once you have identified your critical few, make sure to keep regular contact with them. These are the ones who will help you reach new heights professionally.
    • Pick your next tier. This group might be 50 to 100 contacts. These are people who might have helped you or have the potential of the same in the future.
    • Connect by helping a person. It’s easy to assume that a successful and wealthy person already has everything he or she desires and wants nothing from you. If you’re thinking that way, get over it.
    • Be intriguing. If you want to make a connection with a new contact, especially a very busy one, the quickest way is to arouse that person’s curiosity with some unexpected trait or quality of yours.
    • Think people, not positions. Everyone reading this knows people who are smart, ambitious, motivated, and interesting might turn out to be influencers or even CEOs at a later stage. So, plan talks with them accordingly.

These tips will certainly help you to network with the right groups. In case, you don’t know anybody in the country and don’t know where to get started then share with us your issues and we will guide you in anything and everything without burning a hole in your pocket.
