Documents are as crucial as your living parts to the body. Yes, you read this right. Forget about ITA, without proper documents you may not be allowed to even apply. You have to understand this, you are applying for a PR to a country which doesn’t know you, so the more particular you are about documents, the more are the chances for you to get through. Only after the documentation, you need to worry about other requirements. We are here to explain you and give you a brief understanding of the required documents and the role they play to get you to Canada.

1.Passport. This is the basic requirement for you to even think about flying international. Earlier it used to take several months to get one but now in the last 4-5 years, things have changed. So, if you don’t have one, apply it right away and you will receive it in a month or may be 15 days. This is also used as an identity proof and you will be asked to show this for your language test and credential assessment (we will talk about this in next para). And at last when you are through every process, you get your VISA stamped on passport.

2.Language test results. Whenever you plan to move to another country, the first thing which comes to your mind is their language. How comfortable we are with it. be it English, French, Urdu or any other language. This is because language is your primary tool to communicate. And this is what they want to check, how comfortable and efficient you are with it. You have time to prepare and then appear for test, though you have an option of choosing your language, English and French. Exam has a set pattern and you have to do good in order to move forward with your application.

    3. Education credential assessment. Education plays an important role all through your life. It defines your character and gives you the ability to speak, walk and perform. You have to get your educational certificates assessed by an authorized agency and on the basis of it, you will be awarded certain points which later gives you a rank. We believe you have all your education certificates with you, all you need to do is to get transcripts of the same from your University. You can do it online or offline depending on how far you stay from your university. Usually, it takes 10-15 days to get your transcripts and assessment takes another 10-15 days, making the whole process a one-month thing.

    4. Police certificate. Don’t worry, this is only a certificate to show whether you have any past criminal record or any other important event which Canada needs to know of. This is to be issued by your local police only and its sole purpose is to define your character. And you have to get this done only after you receive ITA.

5.Medical Exams. You have to get your medical examination from the list of authorized medical institutions. You have to declare here only if you have any serious illness or any other health issues. This is mandatory as once you enter Canada, you have to enroll for medical insurance which will demand your earlier medical report.

6.Proof of funds. This is to show that when you arrive in Canada, you have an ample amount of funds to settle down so you won’t suffer. This is to be used by you only or your spouse (if he/she is coming with you). It must be available in your account, and in a joint account if you are applying with your spouse. You have to prove that both of you does have access to funds and in case of need, either of you has the right to withdraw in Canada.

We hope now you are in a better position to understand and analyze yourself for the Canadian express entry program. If you have all these points in order, and you are actually serious about this program, believe us, you have a very good chance of moving in here. So, start with point 1 today and we hope to see you here after 6 months. For any issue related to Canada under the sun, you can reach out to us!
